2409   1957/2/28   Maserati => Negri-Bevilacqua (09/1957) => Mennato Boffa (1959) => Scuderia Centro-Sud (1960) red; Built with a Maserati 150S Fiandri-built body. Used by factory as a test bed for the new 250S engine. Debuted in Buenos Aires 1000 Kilometres, then races in Sebring 12 Hours. Then it was loaned by the factory to Willy Daetwyler who won the European Mountain Championship with it in 1957 (still with a 150S Fiandri-body, but probably with a 2 liter engine). After Daetwyler returned the car it ran a few a few more races as a works entry. In September 1957 it was sold to Negri-Bevilacqua with a 2 liter engine and still with the Fiandri 150S-body. In winter 58/59 it was rebodied as a 200S and sold to Boffa with a 2 liter engine (Boffa also had #2413 so it is difficult to pin race results to cars). When the car was sold to Cento-Sud in 1960 it received engine #2403 (2.5 liter). So it started life with a 150S-body, but with a 2.5 liter engine which it later lost (and which was put into #2431 by the works).
