Lola does not list this car on the build sheets but it appears in several races in 1970 and 1971 driven by Wilson, Farnell and others. It went to Switzerland in 1973 to Bennie Studer then to Hans-Rudy Wittwer, then to Tony Ruegg. Car is now owned by Bob Storz in Western Canada, currently under restoration.

Originally Helmut Marko via Jo Bonnier Automobiles in Switzerland, the car was reputedly crashed and badly damaged in the mid 70's. Research is still being done on the history of this time period. The car was found by Ian Webb of Northdown Racing in 1982 and rebuilt with re-skinned tub prior to sale to Richard Eyre. From here the car was sold to John Foulston. in 1986 for use by his wife Mary. To accommodate her driving a 1700 BDA was fitted rather than a FVC or BDG to make the car easier to drive. The car was sold by Nicola Foulston to M. Defornay of Belgium in 1989, He never ran the car as the seat and belts are still set for Mrs Foulston. The car then went back to England.
It was sold late 1990’s to Richard Griot in Seattle, then to Walt Cox also Seattle Washington in 2004.
Raced in Classic Endurance Racing at the Castellet on the 4,5 and 6 October 2013 by the new owner Serge Kriknoff.

Raced at Le Mans 1971 with Roger Enever, the ONLY T212 to actually race in the 24 Hours. Sent to USA in 1973 (or sold to Dorset Racing), There is a gap in the history from the time it went to the US until the mid 1990’s but it is believed to have spent most of it’s life running SCCA races in the eastern US.. It sat, dismantled and in disrepair, until 1994 in New England USA until found by Cy Moreland who started restoration. It was sold to Jim Frulla in Seattle who basically completed restoration and raced it a couple of times in 2003 and 2004. It was sold in 2004 to Scott Emerson, Vancouver Canada. It is now in Camel / Phillips livery as raced at LeMans in 1971.

One of them: Theo van Kinsbergen (1972) => Stephen Pontinwaltier, GB (~1975) => Philip van der Pal (1985) => David Lucy, USA (1987) => Tom Atlas (1999/10) => Scott Monroe, USA (2000) => Patick Escande (2004) => Jeffrey C. Anderson (2005/9). Another 'HU29' is at Martin Birrane. We were told that HU29 is often used for T212 as the real car was destroyed in Europe in 1971 and some part may have survived. Another 'HU29' was raced in Supersports by Pontinwaltier.

Originally Roger McCaig late in 1971. He and his brother Maurice raced it in endurance races in the early 1970’s. Carpenter restored the car and sold it with HU29. By 2005 there was another car with a plate HU37 at Philippe Reyns. Driven twice by Bill Phaneuf in Can-Am 1977; David Rollo sold enough spares with the original chassis that the next owner Carpenter could built a second full car from them. Both cars were still raced in the USA and Canada by 2009 driven by Scott Emerson and Philippe Rayns as numbers 50 and 55.

Originally ordered by Guy Edwards in 1972 but Edwards never took delivery (confirmed by Guy Edwards), Car was sold to Barrie Smith / Rene Ligonet (confirmed by Lola). It was raced in several European events (mainly French) with sponsorship from Kodak France and was #27 at Le Mans 1972 finishing 14th overall. It is the first Lola to ever finish a 24 hour race. The car was updated to T296 specifications somewhere in the mid 1970’s, it is thought in 1975. It is still subject of research to track down the exact history from 1973 to 1986 but it is believed to be Herve Bayard, Guy St.-Quintin, ?? Vanderbrooke, Jean-Claude Justice and Andre DelGuzzo. The car was purchased from DelGuzzo in 2002 by Bob Storz and sold to Keith Frieser, Edmonton Canada. The car was restored in 2003 and still has the T296 bodywork on it. It is painted in Kodak colours as raced in 1972.

In the mid 80's HU49 was owned in succession by Raffaelle Mattiello of Francolise, Gianni Cossu of Macomer, and Giovanni Pagnucci of Lucca. During that period it was raced at Varano, Popli, Cuglieri, Teulada, Ortabene, Pergusa, Todi, Nuoro, Cossa del sud, Gonone and several other Italian circuits and hill climbs. In the 1990's HU49 was purchased by Paolo Casazza. In 1997, HU49 was purchased in Italy by Tom Black and Tom Kreger. They restored the care and replaced the hill climb engine (an Alfa 2.5L V6) with a Cosworth Vega. They raced the car on the West Coast of the USA and now owned and raced by Greg Baldwin in Portland Oregon
